The giant raid boss is played by a human. DEKABUTU is an asymmetric shooter where one player becomes the boss and faces a squad of soldiers. Tanks, healers and attackers team up in first person, while the boss surveys the field and picks where and when to strike. Outwit friends, then swap roles.

« This game is being developed by a solo developer. With limited development resources, I would like to improve the game with feedback from players.
In particular, balancing the boss and FPS sides, refining the controls, and improving online play all benefit from real player experiences. Early Access will allow me to work on these areas while expanding the game's content. »

Pendant combien de temps environ ce jeu sera-t-il en accès anticipé ?

« I currently expect Early Access to last approximately two to three years. However, this timeframe may change depending on development progress and the work needed to address player feedback. I plan to share development updates and any changes to the schedule through Steam announcements. »

« For the full version, I plan to add the following features and content:
- A leveling and progression system
- A system for acquiring new skills
- The ability to change equipped skills
- Additional boss types
- PvE content
I also plan to improve gameplay balance, controls, and online stability. These are current development plans and may change based on development progress and player feedback. »

The giant raid boss is played by a human.

DEKABUTU is an asymmetric multiplayer shooter where one player becomes a giant raid boss and battles a squad of soldiers.

Soldiers: Work together to bring down a giant
The soldiers fight in first person and choose from three roles:

  • Tank: Draw the boss's attacks and protect your team with a dome-shaped shield.

  • Healer: Heal your allies and revive downed teammates all at once.

  • Attacker: Hit the boss's weak points for massive damage.

The boss's attacks show their danger zones on the ground before they land. Dodge, shield a teammate, or rush in to revive someone who's down. Quick decisions and teamwork decide the fight.

Boss: Survey the battlefield and strike

As the boss, you look down over the battlefield and choose where, in which direction and when to attack. Your opponents aren't AI. They're people who think and adapt. Dodge the tank's lure by switching attacks, predict where the soldiers will run, and stack area attacks to corner them.

Lobbies built for playing with friends

  • Choose the boss player by hand, at random, or at random with no repeats until everyone has had a turn.

  • Free team setup lets any number of players pick the same role.

  • If you disconnect, you can rejoin your original slot as long as the match is still going.

Win as the boss, or take down a giant as a team. Swap roles and take on the challenge again and again.

This game contains combat violence involving firearms, explosives and special attacks. As soldiers, players shoot a giant boss with rifles and rocket launchers. As the boss, players take down soldiers with area attacks.

Soldiers who are knocked out are downed and can be revived by teammates. Characters use a stylized low-poly art style. There is no blood, gore or dismemberment.

The game does not contain sexual content, drug or alcohol use, or depictions of self-harm.

This is an online multiplayer game. Interactions between players are not rated or moderated.
