Welcome to the pub league. The pitch is questionable, the referee has his price, and your transfer budget is rattling around in somebody else's mouth.

Studs Up! is a five-a-side football brawler on a side-on, faux-3D pitch. Charge a shot, bend it after the boot, or send a teammate through with a well-timed pass. Then brace for the return tackle. Goals win matches; the teeth scattered across the pitch help pay for the next one.

Take charge of The Mincers, recruit seven local misfits and drag them through a season against five rival clubs. Between fixtures, return to the pub office to patch up the squad, buy upgrades, take a sponsor's money or slip the referee a little encouragement. Injuries follow you home. Dead players stay dead.

Prefer to skip the paperwork? Quick Match puts you straight into the scrap, with tougher opposition waiting after a win. Mud, municipal concrete and suspiciously well-kept turf each put a different spin on a Sunday afternoon.

Got someone on the sofa? 2 Player Quick Match gives you a team each on one screen - keyboard and a controller, or two controllers.

The campaign is single-player. Local versus is same-screen only - there is no online multiplayer.

This game is not balanced. Absurd things may happen. Absurd things will happen.

You can cheese it to win. You can also stand there and watch the other lot cheese it right back and take the match off you. It is not meant to be fair. It is meant to be fun.

So please don't come crying in the discussions because you lost a match you were leading 10-0. You have been warned.

- Player portraits and the end-of-season win/loss backdrops: image generation, converted down to the game's limited-palette pixel formats.
- The match music loop and the match sound effects: audio generation, edited and loudness-normalised.
- The announcer voice in the trailer: voice generation.

No AI runs while you play. The game is fully offline and generates nothing at runtime.
