About This Game

Dwarven King is a strategy game about digging out and building an underground kingdom. Start with a castle and a pickaxe, hire your first miners, and spread through the mountain. There's ore to bring home, room for new outposts, and goblins and trolls living on the other side of the walls.

Dig tunnels, clear rooms, and build in the space you've excavated. Place lodges, barracks, and smithies around your castle, then establish outposts farther into the mountain. The walls you mine provide resources for construction, so digging a new passage also helps pay for what comes next.
You'll do the digging yourself at first. Hire miners and assign work areas to their lodges, and they'll excavate the walls and carry resources home automatically. Add more workers and improve their tools as you expand. While they work, you can explore another passage or build up the settlement.

Use Royal Plans to unlock buildings and improve your kingdom. Invest in mining and production, make room for more dwarves, or develop your army. The Runic School trains sorcerers with area attacks, while a bridge opens the way across an underground river. Choose what to work toward with the resources you have.

Train soldiers and sorcerers to fight the goblins and trolls you uncover. Set rally points near a threatened outpost or gather your troops before opening a hostile hall. Your units fight automatically. You can pause to check the battle, move rally points, and change mining areas before letting the action continue.
