What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The idea behind this game is simple: we wanted to build a desktop idle city-builder that feels comfortable to play on PC. You don't have to stare at the screen or grind nonstop—let it run in the background, steadily gathering resources, growing your city, and building your team, then come back when you have time to assign your advisors, plan defenses, and recruit talents at your own relaxed pace. Here we answer the questions we hear most about this Early Access launch.

The core loop already works, but idle management games live or die by their pacing and numbers, and details like background performance, window handling, and the idle UI are hard for us to tune in the dark. Real players actually living with it are the only way to know if it feels right.

That's why we're putting it out early: tell us where upgrades feel too slow, where idle gains feel off, where the economy stalls, or which advisor you'd love to see get more story. We'll keep building and adjusting based on your feedback—and PC-specific issues like background stability, minimized idle running, and desktop adaptation especially need your real-world usage to get right. Building this behind closed doors just doesn't come close.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We estimate about 1–6 months. That's not set in stone—it depends entirely on real feedback and development progress. If there are many requests or lots of new content to add, we'll take more time to polish; if the experience runs smoothly overall, we'll move to release sooner. We'll keep every development update posted in Steam announcements.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The current version has a complete, playable core loop; the full version is the "everything included + polished to the end" final form:

- More advisors, companions, and story: talents from all walks of life (scholars, farmers, artisans, merchants) and their full personal story arcs will be added
- Expanded modes: merchant guild alliances, cross-server defense & expedition rankings, estate/garden decoration collection, and advisor advancement
- More end-game: higher-tier cities, hard siege challenges, and long-running seasonal events, so there's always more to manage as you progress
- Continued PC optimization: background idle stability, window adaptation, and the smoothness of the UI and management controls”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core gameplay is complete and perfectly playable for a new player:

- Desktop idle and offline earnings work: minimized in the background—or even closed—the city keeps earning grain and coins, building materials, and upgrade supplies
- Dozens of starting advisors can be recruited, developed, and assigned to your ruling team, posted to civil affairs, agriculture, construction, or trade, and used to organize city defense against bandits and foreign threats
- The main city-building progression, basic bandit/foreign challenges, building upgrades, and advisor skill development systems are all in place

Higher-tier end-game content is still in progress, some numbers may not be fully balanced yet, and occasional bugs are normal—we'll keep fixing and tuning through every update.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“First, the reassurance: the game is free-to-play forever. The core gameplay and main city-building campaign are free for everyone, and you can't be paywalled out of progressing.

Early Access comes with launch-exclusive bundles and bonuses that will be removed once the game officially launches. Paid content pricing may later be adjusted based on content volume, but the free core never changes.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We genuinely value your input, especially on PC idle and management experience. It's easy to reach us:

- Steam Community and our official player group: we read every bug report, management suggestion, and advisor/companion you'd like to see—solid ideas go straight into the plan
- We post regular dev logs to share what's next and answer the questions everyone asks most
- Before launching a new advisor or feature, we run community polls—your preferences set our priorities
- We occasionally open playtest recruitment so you can try new content early and help us catch issues and verify numbers and pacing”

About This Game

From Hamlet to Metropolis

From a thatched ferry crossing to a brick-and-tile city, lay out roads, markets, residential wards, stages and teahouses, and place every point of production and consumption. Watch smoke rise from chimneys, shops line the streets, and crowds fill the lanes—shape a vision of an Eastern metropolis that is entirely your own.

Balance Prosperity and the People

Build a complete supply chain from raw materials to processing to market; set fair taxes and stabilize grain prices so that the people are fed and the treasury stays full. Sell surplus specialties through trade orders and routes across the land—buy low, sell high, and reinvest commerce back into the city.

Recruit Talents from All Walks of Life

Scholars offer strategy, farmers know the seasons, artisans master craftsmanship, and merchants move goods. Recruit renowned talents from every class—scholar, farmer, artisan, merchant—and assign each to the post where they shine: advisors for governance, craftsmen for construction, merchants for trade.

Build a Family, Pass Down Your Legacy

Meet kindred spirits in the city—a valiant female general, a gifted scholar, a merchant's daughter, a noble-born lady—and form deep bonds and a lasting marriage. They lend their talents and resources to your rule. Raise children together, educate them from childhood in both letters and martial arts, and watch them pass the imperial exams, enter official service, and carry your family name through the generations.

A Private Garden of Your Own

Beyond official duties lies a garden that belongs only to you: arrange pavilions and furniture, grow vegetables in your own plots, dig fish ponds, and prepare a home for your beloved. After a busy day governing, retreat here for a breath of peace—a self-sufficient, tranquil refuge you built by hand.

Raise an Army, Defend and Expand

Recruit and train a city garrison, repair walls and armaments, suppress bandits and fend off invaders. Once the treasury is full and your forces are strong, march on expeditions and expand your borders—let military might safeguard your city and your trade routes.

Idle & Offline, Play at Your Own Pace

Support desktop background idle play and offline earnings: the city keeps running and accumulating resources while you're away. No alarm clocks, no all-night grinds. Earn a living during the day, govern in your free time, and keep a well-ordered city with ease.
