What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“CoderLifes is built around the evolving experience of a developer's life: creating products, managing limited resources, dealing with technical problems, upgrading a workspace, and growing from small personal projects into something bigger.

Early Access gives us the opportunity to develop and refine these interconnected systems together with the community. Player feedback will help us identify which mechanics are the most engaging, improve the balance of progression and economy, refine the development and AI systems, and prioritize areas that need additional depth.

We want CoderLifes to grow through real player experiences while keeping the core vision of the game intact.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect CoderLifes to remain in Early Access for approximately 6 to 12 months. This timeframe may change depending on development progress and community feedback. Our priority is to reach the level of depth, stability, and polish we want for the full release rather than commit to a fixed release date too early.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Throughout Early Access, we plan to expand and refine the developer-life experience while building on the systems already available in the game.

Our plans include expanding progression, adding more projects and development opportunities, improving the software and AI creation systems, providing more ways to upgrade and customize the player's workspace and hardware, deepening financial and product-management systems, and expanding the challenges associated with running successful digital products.

We also plan to improve balancing, performance, user interface, accessibility, and overall polish based on player feedback.

The exact scope and priorities may evolve during Early Access as we learn how players interact with the game.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“CoderLifes is currently playable and contains the core gameplay loop of the developer-life experience.

Players begin in a small living and working space with limited resources and can interact with their environment, organize their workspace, use their computer, work on technology projects, develop and deploy products, monitor users and product performance, manage technical issues such as server load and bugs, track finances, and purchase upgrades for their setup.

The current version also includes progression systems involving money, reputation, energy, focus, stress, hardware and workspace improvements, along with product analytics and other management mechanics.

As an Early Access title, some systems are still being expanded and balanced, and players may encounter bugs, unfinished elements, balance changes, or features that change during development.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to offer CoderLifes at a lower price during Early Access to reflect its current state and to thank players who support the game during development. The price may increase as significant new content, features, and improvements are added and the game moves closer to its full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback will be an important part of CoderLifes' Early Access development.

We plan to actively review player feedback, bug reports, suggestions, and discussions through the Steam Community. Feedback will help us identify balancing issues, improve existing mechanics, prioritize quality-of-life improvements, and understand which parts of the developer-life experience players would like to see expanded.

Major updates and meaningful changes will be communicated through Steam announcements. While not every suggestion can be implemented, community feedback will be considered throughout development as we continue refining CoderLifes.”

About This Game

One room. One computer. Almost no money.

CoderLifes is a first-person developer life simulation where you experience the journey of building a career in technology from the ground up.

Your computer is more than a workstation. It is where you build projects, develop software, experiment with AI, monitor your products, manage servers, track your finances, and try to turn your ideas into something people actually want to use.

BUILD YOUR PRODUCTS

Create software and AI-powered products through a multi-stage development process. Define your idea, prepare data, build the core, test your work, fix bugs, train your models, and deploy your product.

Building something is only the beginning. Once your product is live, real challenges start to appear.

GROW YOUR USER BASE

Track active users, growth, revenue, satisfaction, server load, and bug reports. A successful release can bring attention quickly—but growth creates new problems of its own.

Watch your projects gain users and react to how people respond to what you create.

SURVIVE THE PROBLEMS

Servers can become overloaded. Bugs can appear. Expenses keep coming. Your energy, focus, stress, money, and reputation all matter as you try to keep everything running.

When something breaks, you have to decide how to fix it.

UPGRADE YOUR SETUP

Earn money and invest it back into your workspace. Purchase hardware and equipment, receive packages, open them in your apartment, and improve the computer you use to build your projects.

Better equipment can help you work more effectively and take on bigger challenges.

LIVE THE DEVELOPER LIFE

CoderLifes combines first-person interaction, developer life simulation, product creation, technology management, and progression into a single experience.

Build. Break. Fix. Grow.

Start small and see how far your skills, decisions, and ideas can take you.
