About This Demo

What this demo is

This is Chapter 1 of Ecos de Valdrenne, complete and uncut: "The Night of the Mark", the night Ren, Mira and Kael cross paths for the first time beside a collapsed lot in an ordinary town, and something down there marks all three of them. It starts where the game starts and ends when that night's guardian falls.

What is in the demo

  • 1 chapter out of 10 and 10 rooms out of 153: from the Street in the Rain to the Heart of the Rift.

  • Nine different creatures from the chapter, including the boss that closes the night: The Echo That Marks.

  • 2 side quests out of 73: Officer Dael's badge and Old Yenna's locket.

  • Chests spread through the chapter (one secret, behind a false wall), two room puzzles, and an optional nest guarding an elite fight.

  • The Resonator in full: cutting in a row on the map builds a chain, and that chain comes into battle with you as an advantage; taking a hit empties it.

  • The full game's combat: timed hits on attack (and timed defense, if you turn it on in Settings), a Resistance bar that shatters on the right weakness, marks Mira sets and Kael detonates, and the Trinity Resonance, best saved for the guardian.

  • All six languages, full Xbox controller support, and the same accessibility options as the full game.

Chapter 1 happens before the party has earned anything, so the demo lends them just enough to show the whole battle system: Ra's favor, with its fire spells and its summon (the Eye of Ra), some potions and a little Resonance. In the full game none of that is handed over: you earn it. Gear is not part of the loan: you find it along the way or buy it from the Rag-Picker's trolley.

What the full game has and this demo does not

  • The other 9 chapters and 143 more rooms: Cairo, Kailash, Norway, Luxor, Yucatán, Rome, Izumo, Iceland and the Void.

  • The eight towns, with their people and their shops. The demo has none: the Prologue is a single night of streets and ruins.

  • All eight deities, each with its area magic, its own trait and its summon. Here you only play Ra's borrowed favor.

  • The traversal powers that reopen the map. The demo already shows two doors that stay shut: the trench only Thor can cross, and the mark of Anubis behind the fence.

  • 71 more side quests, 35 more relics, the 8 optional superbosses (one per deity zone) and the three endings.

  • A bestiary of 161 creatures, against the nine of this one night.

When the boss falls, the demo closes with a glimpse of what comes next, and that is where it ends: it does not carry on into Chapter 2. Made in Godot 4 by one person.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Pre-generated content: part of the game's art (backgrounds, character and enemy sprites, portraits, props, key art and capsule images) was created with generative image tools (Google Gemini, OpenAI ChatGPT, PixelLab) and then reviewed, cut, edited and assembled by hand by the developer. The music (38 tracks) and part of the sound effects and ambient loops were produced with AI audio tools (ElevenLabs, Google Gemini); the remaining sound effects come from Kenney's CC0 library or were synthesized in code. The in-game text was written by the developer in Spanish; its translation into the other five supported languages (English, French, German, Simplified Chinese, Japanese) was machine-assisted and then reviewed by the developer.

Generated art is reviewed before it ships for unintended resemblance to existing characters or trademarks, and anything that reads as derivative is redrawn. After a previous review, the lead character's illustrated design was redesigned and replaced across the trailer, the store assets and the build.

Parts of the source code were written with the assistance of an AI coding assistant (Anthropic Claude) under the developer's direction and review.

The story, game design, world, dialogue and puzzles are the developer's own work.

Live-generated content: none. The game does not generate any content with AI while it is running.
