Hexed Hand is a single-player roguelite card game that reimagines the familiar rules of 21 through deckbuilding, score-chasing strategy, and powerful synergies.

You begin every run with a familiar deck of playing cards. But as the run progresses, you modify your cards, reshape your deck around specific strategies, and combine different systems to create an increasingly powerful scoring engine.

Making 21 is only the beginning. The real challenge is using the tools available to turn an ordinary hand into the strongest combination possible.

Build your playstyle with Talismans

Talismans reward different cards, hand structures, and playstyles.

You might build around low-value cards, focus on specific hand sizes, thin your deck, or turn particular combinations into the core of your strategy.

When the right Talismans come together, a single hand can change the direction of an entire run.

Modify your cards to fit your strategy

Card Mods change how the cards in your deck behave and allow you to reshape them around the build you are creating.

A card's value, behavior, or role within certain combinations can change. What begins as an ordinary deck can evolve into something completely different by the later tables of a run.

Special Offers bend the rules

Throughout a run, Special Offers give you powerful advantages that go beyond the normal rules of the game.

They can change your economy, create new opportunities, alter the flow of a run, or offer major advantages in exchange for taking on additional risk.

Some offers do more than provide a small bonus — they can completely change how you approach the rest of the run.

Accept Contracts and chase extra objectives

At the beginning of a table, you may be offered Contracts.

Contracts do not punish you. Instead, they give you optional challenges with additional rewards.

A Contract might ask you to complete a table without using a certain suit, or reward you for making 21 with a specific number of cards.

You never have to complete a Contract. But if you are willing to adjust your strategy around its objective, you can earn additional multipliers and other advantages.

This means every table becomes more than a simple question of whether you can make 21. Sometimes taking the harder route is the key to a much bigger score.

Face the Boss Tables

At key points during a run, you will encounter Boss Tables.

Here, playing the right cards is no longer enough — you are also playing against the clock.

Timed boss hands test whether your build can survive under pressure. A strategy that feels safe during a normal table may require very different decisions when every second matters.

Know exactly where your score came from

When you create a huge score, Hexed Hand does not leave you guessing.

The scoring breakdown shows how your cards, Talismans, multipliers, and other effects contributed to the final result.

You can see exactly why a combination worked and use that information to make better decisions on the next hand.

Build something different every run

One run might revolve around turning low-value cards into a powerful scoring engine.

Another might focus on specific hand combinations, modified cards, Contract objectives, a thinner deck, or Special Offers that bend the rules in your favor.

Talismans, Card Mods, Contracts, Special Offers, Boss Tables, timed hands, and shop decisions can all push a run in a different direction.

When the run ends, you start again.

But this time, you know a little more about what can become powerful.

Shape your deck. Accept the challenge. Bend the rules. Chase a higher score.
