First day at the factory: extract pixels, sort them, sell them. Then let the machines take over, until the factory runs itself. A blend of clicker, incremental gameplay, and pixel art… with a touch of mystery: where do all those pixels go?

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Pixel Sorter Factory is already fully playable, with a complete gameplay loop, but we have many more machines, features and story elements in mind. We want to build the rest of the factory together with the players: Early Access lets you play right now, while your feedback helps us decide what to balance, what to fix and what to add next.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently estimate that Pixel Sorter Factory will stay in Early Access for about one to two years. This is the time we think we need to add the planned features and content and to tell the full story. This estimate may change as development progresses and as we receive your feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to expand the game in every direction, for example:
- new machines and bigger upgrades for your factory;
- new kinds of special pixels, with their own behaviors;
- more research, more orders and more ways to earn credits;
- the complete story of the factory, and of where all those pixels really go;
- special and seasonal events, like Christmas content;
- polish, balancing and quality-of-life improvements based on your feedback.
These are our current plans, not promises: they may change along the way, based on what players tell us.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version is fully playable, with a complete gameplay loop:
- extract pixels by hand, sort them and sell them;
- buy and place machines to automate your whole factory: ovens, washers, color sorters, printers, robot arms, drones, dye booths, mixers, image printers, greenhouses and more;
- unlock new machines in the research tree;
- deliver shapes to commercial orders;
- try your luck at the casino: plinko, coin pusher, slot machine, coin toss table and their jackpots;
- discover special pixels, like slime pixels and fragile glass pixels;
- unlock achievements and follow your statistics;
- get started with a tutorial guided by Didier, your colleague.
The game is available in 8 languages. Pixel Sorter Factory is an endless incremental game: there is no real ending, but you can already discover everything the current version has to offer. As with any Early Access game, expect some bugs and balancing changes along the way. Some updates may also affect existing saves.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to raise the price as new content and features are added. The Early Access price reflects the content currently available in the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The community is at the heart of development. We read Steam reviews, the Steam discussions and your bug reports to fix issues, balance the game and decide what to build next, and we plan to share news on Steam with our updates to explain what changed. We'd love for you to share your ideas, create content around the game and help us track down bugs. Along the way, we also plan to have some fun with special events, like seasonal content for Christmas.”

About This Game

One click, one pixel.
The machines then take over: sorting, launching, transporting, and selling your pixels for the best price in the factory.

Start small and grow big, until you're drooling like Didier at the sight of those thousands of pixels.
