About This Game

Tooth and Tusk is a cozy dental clinic game in voxels. You play Dr. Chompers, a T-Rex dentist, and your patients are hippos, alligators, beavers and walruses. Each one has a name, a job, a voice and a mouth that needs work.

MEET YOUR PATIENTS

  • Hazel the hippo is a water gardener with soft plaque and tartar.
  • Arlo the alligator is a baker with a hard chunk stuck to a chipped front tooth.
  • Bea the beaver is a furniture maker, and one of her teeth hurts when she drinks cold water.
  • Mr. Tooth is one large tooth with arms, legs and a face, and he is in bad shape.

Patients talk, flinch if you scrape a gum, and tell you at checkout how the visit went. Mabel runs reception.

GET A CLOSER LOOK

Pull your loupes down to see each tooth up close. Switch between front, top and mirror views to reach every surface.

USE THE RIGHT TOOL

Scrape plaque, wear down tartar and rock hard calculus loose. Drill out decay, then fill and cure each repair. Each material responds to a different tool.

KEEP THE MOUTH DRY

Saliva builds up while you work, and you can see the water pool around the teeth. Raise your loupes and hold SUCTION to drain it. The whitening rinse adds water, and isolating a tooth slows the buildup. Leave it too long and your patient remembers it on the next visit.

SEE THE RESULTS

Polish and whiten for a bonus. Compare Before and After smiles, earn fees, and buy equipment for the clinic.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

NBD2 is an AI game development studio. As a solo indie dev who is unlikely to ever make a dime from any of my games, there's no other way I could bring my ideas to life.

Tooth and Tusk was created using generative AI throughout development, including its artwork and visuals, music, sound effects, character voices, text and dialogue, and game code. All AI generation took place during development. The game does not generate AI content or code during play or connect to an external AI service.

I recognize AI in game development is an extremely sensitive topic and I appreciate both sides. I only hope the game is fun.

The goal should always be making something that human beings will enjoy.
