Learn Mahjong. Then play it your way.

Legends of Mahjong is a Mahjong game built around learning. If you have never touched a tile, it teaches you from the first step. If you already play, it gives you two full rulesets, house rules you can set yourself, and opponents who play in their own styles.

Real tutorials, not a rules page

• Narrated tours: a Tile Tour of all 144 tiles, a tour of the table and how a hand is dealt, and a Scoring Tour for each ruleset.
  
• Guided practice hands: a real hand that walks you through chows, pungs, declaring riichi and winning, with spoken guidance at every decision.
  
• Lessons on winning hands, scoring, strategy and defence, plus a history of the game and how the styles compare.

Two rulesets

• Hong Kong Mahjong: fan scoring, flowers and seasons, and a set of house rules you can switch on or off.
  
• Japanese Riichi Mahjong: riichi, dora, ura dora, red fives, furiten, fu and han scoring.

An in-game coach

Switch on the assistant and it tells you what to discard and why. It shows your fastest discard, your safest one and the one it recommends, with the odds behind each, and it advises on every pung, kong and chow you are offered. It also tells you when a big hand like a Half Flush is worth steering for, and when it is better to just play for speed.

Opponents with personality

Play against AI opponents who each play a style that fits their character: aggressive, defensive, balanced or reading the table. Choose from 30 legendary Chinese and Japanese characters, each with their own story, stats and spoken voice lines.
