Hex Reverse will be available for free during the first 30 days after release.

If you add the game to your Steam library during this free period, you will keep permanent access even after the game becomes a paid title.

After the free period, the game will transition to paid availability, with regional pricing applied through Steam.

Hex Reverse combines strategic territory-control card battles on a hexagonal grid with roguelike deckbuilding progression.

Claim the board with every card you play

Battles take place on a field of 19 hexagonal spaces, where you and your opponent take turns placing cards.

Each card has six values, one for each side. When you place a card next to an opponent's card, the values on the touching edges are compared.

If your value is higher, the opposing card flips to your side.

Choose your position carefully, read the board, and use each card's strengths to take control of as much territory as possible.

Build your deck as the run unfolds

Each run consists of a series of battles.

After winning a battle, choose one card from a selection taken from your opponent's deck. The card is added directly to your current run deck and can be used in the battles ahead.

Every choice changes the shape of your deck, letting you adapt your strategy as the run progresses.

Skills, elements, and special battle conditions

Cards are defined by more than just their six values.

Use SP to activate skills that can strengthen cards, change their element, weaken opponents, draw additional cards, and alter the flow of battle.

Special rules and unique field conditions can also change how each battle plays out, forcing you to rethink familiar strategies and make the most of the cards available to you.

Grow stronger between runs

After a run ends, return to your base and prepare for the next expedition.

Build and refine your saved decks, buy and sell cards, fuse cards into stronger ones, and upgrade equipment that provides permanent progression.

Strengthen your collection, improve your setup, and take on increasingly difficult Rifts.

This game uses generative AI as part of the development process. ChatGPT was used for planning, specification review, and the creation of some base visual assets, while Codex was used to assist with code generation, implementation, and testing.
Some visual assets were generated as base material and then edited and refined in tools such as Photoshop. SOUNDRAW was used for some background music, and ElevenLabs was used for some sound effects.
All AI-generated content was created during development. The game does not use generative AI to create content in real time during gameplay. Final design, editing, implementation, and selection decisions were made by the developer.
