What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We want to improve ROBO MUSOU together with players. Early Access will help us gather feedback on combat feel, mixed-part mech customization, difficulty, equipment rewards and performance while we expand the game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Early Access to last approximately 6 to 12 months. This is an estimate, not a fixed release date; the schedule may change depending on development progress and player feedback. We will share progress updates through Steam announcements.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to expand the selection of missions, mechs and equipment, and further improve animations, combat balance, usability and performance. The scope and priorities may change based on development progress and player feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current full-game build includes two missions, five mech frame types and four difficulty levels. Players can fight with melee weapons, ranged weapons, boosts and special abilities, collect equipment, mix parts from different frames, and dismantle or develop equipment. It also includes five save slots with backup restoration. Additional content and polish are still in development.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to increase the price when the game leaves Early Access, reflecting the content added and improvements made during development. We will announce the final price and timing in advance.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Please share feedback and bug reports through the Steam Community discussions. We will use reports about combat, customization, balance, controls and performance to help prioritize improvements, and share development updates through Steam announcements.”

About This Game

Break through the horde

ROBO MUSOU is a single-player robot action game about fighting enemy hordes and collecting equipment. Boost into enemy formations, connect melee combos with gunfire, and evade powerful attacks to create an opening.

Loot. Refit. Deploy.

Bring weapons and parts back to the hangar. Combine melee and ranged weapons, shoulder equipment, and backpacks to find your playstyle. Dismantle unwanted equipment and use the recovered materials to develop new gear.

Change the fight with elements

Heat, shock, and cooling effects change how you fight. Elemental effects also alter the chain reactions triggered by destroyed enemies. Refit your machine and challenge tougher difficulty settings.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Generative AI was used during development to create some visual assets, including background artwork, UI graphics, icons and 3D models, as well as music, some sound effects, and localized text. These assets are included as pre-generated content. The game does not generate AI content or connect to external AI services during gameplay.
