Choose a city. Yours, ideally. The hive starts there and spreads through real cities feeding, evolving, working while you're away. A finite premium incremental: eight to ten hours, a declared ending, no microtransactions. One planet.

About This Game

IT STARTS WHERE YOU LIVE.

The first thing Hive Earth asks is the name of a city. Most people type the one they're sitting in. If it isn't in the archive, the hive starts from the nearest one that is and tells you so.

From there it spreads outward 7,000 real cities, real populations, chosen by distance and yield rather than by a level designer.

The hive feeds while the game is open, and while it isn't. You come back, spend what it collected, and decide what it becomes next.

IT DOES NOT NEED YOU

Biomass accumulates in real time. Clicking never makes a number go up; clicking decides where the numbers go.

Close the game and it keeps working up to one hour of growth per return.

This is an incremental you check on across your day, not one you leave running for a week.

THE MAP IS THE PROGRESS BAR

A night-side globe with the lights on.

Every city you consume is one that goes dark.

One number sits beside it: how close humanity is to the point of no return.

CASTES CHANGE THE SHAPE OF THE SPREAD

One strain breaks into dense metropolitan areas.

Another reaches further, into places nobody would think to defend.

The choice decides which half of the map falls first.

COLLAPSE IS A STRATEGY

When the time is right, seed a new wave somewhere else entirely.

You give up the ground you took and keep a permanent multiplier.

Wait a little past the threshold and the multiplier grows; wait too long and it doesn't.

Choosing the moment is the game.

IT ENDS

Eight to ten hours of play, spread across however many days you like.

It ends when containment stops being possible, not when the last village falls, but when the outcome is no longer in doubt.

Then you watch the rest happen.

A finished game with a conclusion, not a number that grows until you close the tab.

NO MICROTRANSACTIONS

One price.

No premium currency, no timers, no offer to speed things along.
