NOMIAD is an open-world sci-fi sim. Working solo or co-op, you are droids assigned to an off-world mining operation. Build and pilot a hovercraft with full autonomy, take on contracts, and contribute as the benefactors of this world. In NOMIAD your service is indispensable. Fortunately, you are not.

Features:

• Multiplayer: Solo or online co-op with a crew of up to 4-players.

• Open-world: Navigate a desolate planet.

• Build: Design and build a hovercraft.

• Combat: Engage in tactical contracts or large-scale battles amidst the warring factions.

Playstyles:

NOMIAD features dozens of ship modules, command terminals, and manned-turrets for your hovercraft. Build for covert-ops, heavy hauls, mining operations, salvage runs, scouting, blockades, drone barges, or literally anything you can come up with.

Contract Types:

• Skiff hunts

• Drone swarms

• Siege walker operations

• Cargo theft and reconnaissance

• Outpost defence

• Faction assault contracts

• Obelisk scans and derelict repairs

• Salvage runs with the collection drone

A word from the creator, Dan:

• NOMIAD is built without a game engine or editor, entirely in WebGL and TypeScript. Everything you see and hear is run or built using web-languages.

• The system is designed such that every entity has its own life cycle, its own job and its own place in the world. Regardless of what you do, the various factions will constantly wage wars, build their economies, and fight for resources; whether it's an allied hovercraft, an AMMATH drone swarm, or a salvage pirate.

• Non-traditional roles: NOMIAD lets you create a fully-hybrid role system based on the way you design your ship.

• Every screen, menu, and terminal is entirely diegetic existing in the same world.
