The Lost Missions of Jax Corden - Episode 9: In the Clutches of the Vorg is a retro-inspired sci-fi FPS adventure blending combat, exploration, investigation and environmental storytelling.

This demo presents the opening chapter of Jax Corden’s search for his missing partner, Lira Voss.

Shot down over Noor Shadiq, a cartel-run city-moon choked by smoke and industrial decay, Jax crash-lands in hostile territory and begins following the first traces of Lira’s disappearance.

FIGHT. INVESTIGATE. SURVIVE.

Battle cartel forces using futuristic weapons, explore hostile industrial environments, search for clues and push deeper into the mystery surrounding Lira’s disappearance.

The demo combines first-person combat with exploration, light investigation, environmental storytelling and a cinematic pulp-noir atmosphere.

A LOST EPISODE

In the Clutches of the Vorg is Episode 9 of The Lost Missions of Jax Corden.

The numbering is intentional. Jax Corden exists within a broader serial continuity, with stories conceived both before and after Episode 9. Each mission is presented as a “lost episode” from a larger interstellar adventure.

ROOTED IN PULP ADVENTURE

The Lost Missions of Jax Corden is conceived in the tradition of classic space-fantasy serials and late-1990s adventure shooters.

Its creative roots draw from the fast-moving pulp adventure of Buck Rogers and Alex Raymond’s Flash Gordon, combined with pulp noir, hardboiled crime fiction and the darker atmosphere of classic science-fiction cinema.

The result is an original universe of exotic worlds, criminal syndicates, corrupt institutions, mystery, danger and larger-than-life adventure.

Generative AI was used for one menu music track, some sound effects, selected voice-over production, and a few minor UI/icon assets. For certain voice-over lines, AI text-to-speech was used to create a performance reference for diction, pacing, accent and delivery, after which the developer recorded the lines and used AI-based voice conversion to create the final voice presentation. AI-assisted tools were also used during development for code assistance and text formatting.

All other visual assets, 3D environments, characters, level design, gameplay design, animation, and primary creative work were created manually by the developer.
