What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We want to use Early Access to get feedback from players while we continue developing and improving Lumberjack. The game is already playable, but we want to hear what players think about the story, atmosphere, gameplay and overall experience. Player feedback will help us identify things that need improvement and decide where to focus during development.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Approximately 4 to 6 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to expand and improve the game based on player feedback during Early Access. This may include additional story content, new areas to explore, more environmental details, improvements to existing gameplay and additional polish.
We also plan to use feedback from players to improve the overall pacing, atmosphere and presentation of the game.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version is a fully playable experience with the main story and core gameplay already in place. Players can explore the environment, investigate the disappearance and discover information through documents, files and environmental clues.
The game is still being polished, and some areas may receive improvements to visuals, performance, gameplay and presentation as development continues.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We are not currently planning to change the price when Lumberjack leaves Early Access since its a free to play game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to listen to player feedback throughout Early Access through Steam discussions, reviews and community feedback. We will use this feedback to identify bugs, improve gameplay and atmosphere, and prioritize areas that need more work.
We also want players to share their experiences and thoughts about the story, pacing and overall horror experience.”

About This Game

Lumberjack is a first-person psychological horror game where you play as Officer Marvin, who is sent to investigate a disappearance in a quiet rural area. As the sun goes down, things around the lumberjack's property begin to feel less ordinary.

Explore the area, investigate what happened, and search through documents and files that slowly reveal more about the case. There are no long conversations or constant exposition. Much of the story is discovered through the environment and the information you find along the way.

Something is wrong in these woods.

And the deeper you look, the stranger it becomes.

How far are you willing to go to find the truth?
