Why Early Access?

“We expect Gunstock Buddy to remain in Early Access for approximately six months. This is an estimate and may change as development progresses and we respond to player feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to expand the range of games with Official Gunstock Buddy Support, which enables automatic profile loading, and add features and refinements based on what players find most useful. Manual alignment and saved profiles remain central to the experience, including in games without official integration.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Gunstock Buddy currently provides in-headset gunstock alignment, adjustable motion smoothing, controller assignment and profiles for individual games and weapons, all through a SteamVR overlay. Games with Official Gunstock Buddy Support can load the appropriate profile automatically when you pick up a gun.”

Will this software be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to offer Gunstock Buddy at a lower price during Early Access and increase the price at full release as the supported game integrations and feature set grow.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Players can share feedback, report issues and suggest features through Steam Discussions. We plan to use that feedback to help prioritize improvements, understand different hardware setups and identify games where official integration would be useful.”

Dial in your gunstock alignment and tame controller jitter with ultra-fast, ultra-steady motion smoothing, all from inside SteamVR.

Your gunstock. Your setup. 

Mount your controllers, fine-tune your offsets, and save them to a profile. Bring your virtual weapon into alignment with your physical stock, just the way you like it.

Steady sights. Responsive aim. 

Small tracking jitters can become visible wobble when you’re lining up a precision shot. Gunstock Buddy’s refined motion smoothing reduces that wobble while keeping your aim responsive. Tune it to suit your setup and play style.

A profile for every game and gun. 

Create separate calibration profiles for your games and weapons. Save the alignment that feels right for each one and keep your setups ready to load.

Official Gunstock Buddy Support. 

In games featuring Official Gunstock Buddy Support, your saved profile loads automatically when you pick up your gun. No menus, no fiddling.

Tune your setup from inside VR. 

The full Gunstock Buddy interface runs as a SteamVR overlay. Adjust your offsets, tweak your smoothing, and switch profiles without taking off your headset or closing your game.
