          Cortesia Rising is a Space Captain Simulator that combines spaceship battles, ship & crew management, and turn-based tactical combat. Engage in broadside naval battles, run trading and smuggling operations, take on missions, explore planets, maintain crew morale through supplies and wages, and upgrade your ship.

          The same officers you recruit and level-up also fight alongside you in detailed tactical battles during boarding actions and planetside gunfights. The integration of these systems creates consistent progression: the crew you manage directly impacts both your success in space and your effectiveness in tactical combat.

          The purpose of this demo is to let you test drive some of the more common core gameplay loops you will experience while playing the full game, so that you can decide if this is the right game for you.

In this demo, you will be able to:

• Advance characters up to level 5

• Purchase equipment up to tier 3

• Engage in space, ground, and boarding combat

• Trade goods & smuggle contraband between planets

• Take on cargo delivery, escort, and bounty jobs

• Clear a raider base

          You will have access to three planetary locations across two planets in the Cortesia System (The snowy corporate ice world of Nix, and the United Earth Government’s Gagarin Station), three unique ships to test drive, and a sampling of procedurally generated missions to try.

          As this is a gameplay demo, all story content, unique missions, and unique characters have been removed. Since that means we’re skipping all the tutorials built into the prologue, we’ve sprinkled handy-dandy tutorial pop-ups throughout the game to get you up to speed faster than a leaf on the wind. These can be toggled at any time from the game options, and reviewed in the Captain’s Quarters on your ship.
