What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“NEOVERSE 2 is a roguelike whose balance lives in the interplay of four hero engines and six pairs. Our runs are fully deterministic and we tune them with a simulation, but a simulation is not a player. Early Access lets real players calibrate the fun: which pairs feel alive, which fights read clearly, how steep the Depth ladder should be.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We are planning for roughly 6 to 12 months, updating in response to community feedback. We will adjust this estimate openly if it changes.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“1.0 adds Pacts (run-modifying contracts that trade constraints for rewards), daily seeded voyages with shared leaderboards, the upper rungs of the Depth ladder, the remaining worlds opened for the first chapter, a larger card and Echo pool per hero, full cinematic Unison finishers for every pair, and the convergence of the story arc.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core is complete: all four heroes and six pairs, the three combat pillars, Unison finishers, branching routes through three of seven worlds on every voyage, plus the Transcendence Gate, the Echo system, the lower Depth ladder, the story seed and codex, achievements, cloud saves, controller support. Content volume per hero is a "core set" and will grow through updates.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The Early Access price is lower than the planned 1.0 price. We may raise the price when the game leaves Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Steam discussions and our community hub are where we read feedback. Every run is seeded, so a bug or a balance complaint can be reproduced exactly from a seed. Balance patches will explain what changed and why.”

About This Game

NEOVERSE 2 is a stylish roguelike deckbuilder built around a single idea: a pair is stronger than the sum of two heroes. Pick two of several heroes, share one deck, and fight in a timeline where every card you play sets up the one your partner plays next. When Resonance peaks, trigger Unison and end the fight with a finisher only your pair can perform.

  • Combo — chain cards across both heroes to build Resonance and unlock Unison.
  • Parry — read the enemy's intent and match it exactly to turn damage into momentum.
  • Tempo — every turn of the battle runs on the timeline. Push, pull and swap turns to steal the rhythm.

Naya overheats her weapons until they burst. Claire balances faith and bloodlust. Helena commands three beasts. Lucy, a new hero, wields multiple weapons and manipulates the timeline. Every pair plays differently, and every pair has its own Unison finisher.

Power in NEOVERSE 2 comes from Echoes: fragments of lost timelines you fit into a limited budget. Build around a pair, not a character. Rebuild it between every fight.

Chart a branching course across seven worlds — Terra, Pantheon, Nocturne, Cogito, Mirage, Requiem and the Nameless — each with its own residents, threats and a boss that remembers you. Cross the Transcendence Gate and venture into the deeper abyss.

The truth is scattered across Echoes, events, cards and the things your partner says when you both survive. Retread the same orbit run after run, and the pieces, like severed time, meet again and join.

  • Experience explosive synergy born from your choices, your focus — and a little luck.
  • New pairs, new Starting Decks, a single Echo, a single card — each one makes a new battle. The joy of choosing keeps you looking forward to what comes next.
  • Steam Achievements, Cloud saves and full controller support at Early Access launch.

The sequel to NEOVERSE.
