About This Game

About This Game

My Friend Is a Moron is a co-op tactics roguelite for 1–3 players.

Pick a party. Share a pile of dice. Fight across a grid where fire spreads, lightning travels through water, oil explodes, ice makes everyone slip, and the terrain itself can be moved around.

Oh, and one of your heroes is an AI..... He has a plan and..... He is very confident about the plan.

and those are not the same thing.

Got one of these at home already? Turn off the AI and invite him. We left a seat.

It's Not Him. It's YOU.

You're playing alongside a genius you simply don't understand.

The Moron has its own decisions, priorities, and questionable ideas about what constitutes a "good move."

Sometimes he's brilliant.

Sometimes he walks directly into the fire.

Sometimes he uses the meteor spell you specifically told him not to use.

You aren't just fighting the enemies.

You're fighting the enemies with him.

Good luck.

How It Works... Kind Of.

Turns run on dice, not a mana bar.

Your entire party shares five six-sided dice. Each die rolls a type:

Movement · Attack · Spell · Guard · Wildcard

Don't like a roll?

Recast it. Once.

Then spend your dice however you want but remember they are shared by the party so dont be too greedy.

Some of the bigger abilities consume two dice, so every turn becomes a little puzzle of "what is the least stupid thing I can do with what I rolled?"

And the number you roll matters too.

A spell might behave completely differently depending on the result.

1–2 might trigger a double hit.
A 6 might expand the area of effect.

And that's only the beginning.

The Floor Is Your Weapon

The battlefield isn't just where you fight.

It's part of the fight.

Oil. Water. Ice. Fire. Acid. Vines. Spikes.

Lightning travels through puddles.

Fire spreads through oil.

Ice turns the battlefield into a skating rink.

And sometimes the best strategy is simply to move a tile and make someone else's problem considerably worse.

Friendly fire isn't a setting.... It's a lifestyle.

He Scouted the map Himself

The map... the one thing you can trust... most of the time

Gold frames are true.
Sketchy frames are his notes.

He knows what's ahead.... Probably.

He also drew a secret path that supposedly skips the next miniboss.

He is absolutely certain it works.

Believe him at your own risk.

Build Your Party

Choose from six classes:

Vanguard · Ranger · Rogue · Mage · Cleric · Alchemist

Each class branches into a subclass later, giving you 12 different ways to make questionable decisions.

Across those classes are 160+ spells, abilities, and upgrades to discover.

After every fight, your party grows stronger.

Visit shops.

Rest at campfires.

Head to the workshop and mess with your dice.

Then go back out and make everything worse.

Bring a Friend. Or Don't. Or Both.

Play solo with the AI.

Play with a friend and let the AI handle the morons hero.

Or...

Turn the AI off and bring your own moron.
