About This Demo

The first eight floors, free, ending on a fight against yourself

This demo is the opening act of Rogue Paper Scissors — the full combat system, the forge, the shop, the events and the extraction gamble, up to the Mirror Revenant on floor 8.

How a turn works

You commit a card to each of three slots and they resolve at once. No initiative, no turn order. Before you commit, the enemy gives you a tell — and it is never the whole truth. Reading it is the game.

A won slot pays a currency chosen by the type that won it:

  • ROCK grants shield — HP you get to keep
  • PAPER grants glue — the resource that fuses cards
  • SCISSOR applies bleed — damage that arrives later, whatever they do next

What is in the demo

  • Floors 1-8, including the Mirror Revenant miniboss
  • Five card traits: Normal, Fixed, Sneaky, Scout and Homing
  • Three hybrids — Glass Guillotine, Mirage Blade and Type Lock — and every one of them is craftable from what the demo gives you
  • The full run loop: fight, forge, shop, event, rest, extract
  • Single-player, mouse-only, with windowed and borderless modes and a 1280x800 layout that fits a Steam Deck
  • Interface in English, Simplified Chinese, German, Spanish, French, Turkish and Polish

What is in the full game, and not in this demo

16 more floors across three more acts, nine more hybrids, all four classes, 20 relics, 20 scrolls, 30 achievements and 20 ascension tiers.

Locked content is visible in the demo rather than hidden, so you can see what you would be getting.

Drawn in code. No AI art, no image files.

There is not a single .png in this game. Every card face, every hand glyph, every hybrid mark and the background itself is drawn at runtime by about a thousand lines of vector code. You can check. Look in the install folder.

Saves

Demo progress does not carry into the full game. The demo is a slice, not a prologue.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

AI tools were used for text during development. The card and event flavour text was drafted with AI assistance, and the seven interface translations were machine-produced and then checked by hand. No artwork is AI-generated: the build contains no image files at all, and every visual is drawn at runtime in code. Nothing is generated live while you play.
