Why Early Access?

“Medieval Farm Simulator is a fresh experience, and we want to give our community the chance to help shape our vision for the game. We wish to build our community and communicate with them to make sure that the features we will be implementing align with what our players want.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We estimate that Medieval Farm Simulator will be in Early Access for 18-24 months depending on community feedback and suggestions.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We're planning on the full game including a wider variety of crops, more farming tools, enhanced and expanded crop processing mechanics and a larger range of merchants to sell produce to.

Additionally, we plan to evolve the level of polish and optimisation throughout Early Access. Importantly, community feedback and suggestions will also be part of our update plans for Medieval Farm Simulator.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Our game currently features the core mechanics and gameplay required to deliver a great Medieval Farm Simulator: cultivating land, sowing seeds, watering, growing crops, harvesting, processing crops and selling them to merchants for coin. In addition, the game currently features basic building elements.

The whole game can also be played in single player or in online co-op multiplayer.

There are likely to be bugs present, and with the larger updates there is also a possibility of save games becoming incompatible and possibly wiped.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price will increase as we add more features, and get closer to the final version of the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We very much want to encourage our players to suggest features and give us feedback on the Steam forums. This is the reason we're launching in Early Access - we hope that everyone can share their thoughts to help us shape this into a great game!”

About This Game

Farm

Get your hands dirty – cultivate fields with your hoe, plough with your ox and plant seeds. From wheat and oats to carrots and cabbages, grow a variety of medieval-period crops and vegetables. Take on the farm single-handedly or collaborate with friends and divide jobs between yourselves.

Harvest

This is the Middle Ages – no tractors or combine harvesters in sight! So grab your scythe and head into the field. Team up with friends to cover more ground and harvest together.

Use your hand mill to process raw grain into much sought after flour and use your oven to bake bread.

Sell

Load up your horse and cart with all manner of produce and get trotting to the local village marketplace. Farming is hard work – especially in this day and age – so you better make sure it’s rewarding.

Trade with a variety of merchants to fulfil market demand. You never know when villagers may have a particular hankering for cabbages…

Build

Can you transform your land from an unremarkable peasant farm to a flourishing farmstead?

Evolve your farm with hard-earned coin – construct buildings, upgrade equipment and tools, unlock ox and ploughs + horses and carts, and expand your selection of crops and vegetables.

Medieval Farm Simulator is inspired by farming sims such as Ranch Simulator and Farming Simulator. We’re also inspired by other medieval sims such as Medieval Dynasty, Medieval Horse Dealer Simulator, Medieval Frontiers, Bellwright and Farthest Frontier.
