THE OCEAN IS NOT SCENERY

Every wave is real physics, and it moves everything - swimmers, loungers, the jetski, and you. Tow someone in and a wave will take them back out, further than where you found them. You cannot fight the sea. You only choose who it takes.

THEY DON'T WANT TO BE SAVED

Tourists panic, cling, and swim the wrong way. The influencer wades toward the shark for content. The kid follows a seagull into the surf. You will spend more energy fighting the people you're rescuing than the water.

NOBODY HELPS. EVERYBODY FILMS.

Every phone on the beach is pointed at you. A clean rescue goes unnoticed; a disaster goes everywhere. More views means more tourists tomorrow, and tomorrow's crowd is bigger and dumber than today's.

Fame isn't the reward. Fame is the trap.

FOUR JOBS, ONE BEACH

The Tower is the only one who sees anything - and he's wrong half the time. The Swimmer is fast in the water until his arms give out and he becomes the one drowning. The Jetski covers the whole beach and flattens whatever is in the way. The Medic fixes things, when he grabs the right canister.

Anyone can pick up any tool. That's usually the problem.
