Why Early Access?

“We're a small team and The Extractors is a co-op game. The best way for us to find out what works is to watch real groups of friends play it. The Next Fest demo showed us people like the game, and now we want to keep building it with the players instead of guessing on our own.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Around 6 months, but it could be shorter or longer depending on feedback. We'll post updates on Steam as we go.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We're planning more zones, new monsters, more items and gear, more upgrades in the Bazaar and more Arena content. We'll also keep fixing bugs and improving performance and online stability. A lot of what goes into the full version will come from what players ask for.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is fully playable solo or in online co-op with up to 4 players. You can drop into dangerous zones on Earth, hunt monsters, grab loot and try to get out before time runs out. Back at the Bazaar you sell what you found and upgrade your gear. The Arena and the crew notebook are in too. There will be bugs and some things won't be balanced yet, that's what Early Access is for.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We don't plan to change the price when the game leaves Early Access. If you buy it now, you get the full version when it's out.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Once the game is out, we'll read the reviews and the Steam discussions, and we're also on our Discord server where you can report bugs and share ideas. We'll use all of that to decide what to fix and add. We'll post update notes on Steam so you can see what changed, and from time to time we'll ask players what they want us to work on next.”
