What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Glintwave is built around experimentation, replayability, and a large number of possible combinations between heroes, weapons, relics, Arcana, and difficulty modifiers. Early Access gives us the opportunity to expand and refine these systems with direct feedback from players.

We want to learn which builds feel satisfying, where balance needs improvement, how progression feels over longer play sessions, and which areas of the game players would most like to see expanded. Community feedback will help us make Glintwave a stronger and more polished game as development continues.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Glintwave to remain in Early Access for approximately 12 months. This timeframe may change depending on player feedback, development progress, and the scope of additional content and improvements we decide to pursue.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to expand Glintwave throughout Early Access with additional worlds, heroes, weapons, relics, Arcana combinations, quests, enemies, bosses, and other gameplay content.

We also plan to continue improving balance, progression, difficulty scaling, user interface, quality-of-life features, performance, and overall polish based on player feedback.

The goal for the full version is to offer a broader and more refined experience while preserving the fast-paced, build-focused gameplay at the heart of Glintwave.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of Glintwave is fully playable and includes three playable heroes and three distinct worlds: Jungle, City, and Swamp. Each world features 100 waves across five escalating tiers, with a boss every 20 waves and an endboss at the end of the run.

Players can experiment with weapons, relics, and more than 200 Arcana combinations, progress through a Talent Tree, complete quests, discover entries in the Glossary, and challenge ten difficulty levels with increasingly demanding modifiers.

The game also currently includes full controller support, Steam achievements, and cloud saves. Balance, progression, content, and other elements may continue to change throughout Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to keep the base game price the same when Glintwave leaves Early Access.

After release, we may offer optional paid DLC that expands the game with additional content such as new area levels, enemies, bosses, playable heroes, weapons, buffs, talents, relics, and Arcana. These DLCs would be separate from the base game and would not affect the price of the base game itself.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Player feedback will play an important role throughout Early Access. We plan to follow discussions, reviews, bug reports, balance feedback, and suggestions from the Steam community and use them to help guide future updates.

We are especially interested in feedback about weapon and Arcana combinations, difficulty balance, progression, heroes, worlds, bosses, controller experience, and quality-of-life improvements.

We also plan to share updates as development progresses and communicate significant changes so players can see how Glintwave evolves during Early Access.”

About This Game

Glintwave is a single-player bullet-heaven roguelite: pick a hero, walk into the wilds, and let the horde come to you. Your weapons fire on their own. Your job is to move, choose your upgrades, and turn a few pellets into a storm that fills the screen.

WILD WORLDS, A HUNDRED WAVES EACH

From a sunlit jungle to a neon-lit city overrun by something that came up from the subway, to a swamp where the dead don't stay down — every world runs 100 waves in five escalating tiers, with a boss every twenty waves and an endboss guarding the far side of the map. Clear a world to earn its crown. More wilds are on the way during Early Access.

BUILD THE STORM

  • Weapons that grow with you. Every weapon has ranks to climb, and the Rune Obelisk can carve a maxed weapon into a stronger crystal form with tricks of its own.

  • Relics from a wandering trader. Danco sells relics for shards, and each one changes how you play.

  • Over 200 Arcana. Carry the right three relics together and they awaken an Arcana: a run-defining passive you discover by experimenting. Some combinations are obvious. Most are not.

  • Chests, buffs, and shards that make every wave a choice rather than a grind.

EVERY RUN LEAVES SOMETHING BEHIND

  • A Talent tree bought with the coins you bank between runs.

  • Quests that unlock heroes, weapons, and worlds by doing things worth remembering — not by counting kills.

  • A Glossary that fills in as you discover enemies, weapons, and Arcana, so the game keeps its secrets until you've earned them.

THE HEROES

Every hero brings a signature weapon and a different rhythm to the same wilds, and the roster keeps growing.

AS HARD AS YOU WANT IT

Ten difficulty levels, from a relaxed first run to a ×10 gauntlet that arms Game Modifiers: periodic debuffs that change the rules mid-fight. Higher difficulties pay better — if you survive them.

MADE FOR THE COUCH AND THE DECK

  • Full controller support, with the correct button glyphs for Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch pads

  • Steam Deck ready

  • Steam achievements and cloud saves

  • Available in 18 languages
