About This Game

Board Games is a 3D collection of historic, folk, and classic table games, together with creative modes such as Spin Chess. Sit at a carved wooden table, pick a ruleset, and play against the computer, a friend on the same PC, or online.

Creative Modes

• Spin Chess — A creative mode that mixes movement with rotation; the position can flip at any moment.
  
• Rainbow Chess — Battle on a colorful grid. Piece color is tied to the board, and the last move’s color limits which piece you may play next. Reach the opponent’s back rank to win.
  
• Chase — Hunt, block, and counter on the board. Pathing and positioning decide the fight.

Chess Families

• Lewis Chess — 12th-century Lewis chessmen. Medieval bishop leap, a limited queen, no castling.
  
• Chess — Modern chess: castling, en passant, and promotion.
  
• Xiangqi — Chinese chess with river, palaces, and cannon.
  
• Shogi — Japanese chess: captured pieces drop back in, promotion, and the two-pawn rule.
  
• Shatar — Mongolian chess. A camel instead of a bishop; the queen cannot give check; stalemate loses.
