About This Game

The Inkspire is a hand-drawn deck-building roguelike set in a world shaped by paper and ink.

Choose your writer and enter an ever-changing tower filled with battles, rest sites, shops, and mysterious events. Every card you play and every decision you make will shape the course of your ascent.

Five Distinct Characters

Begin your climb as the Young Witch, Priest, Ninja, Merchant, or Swordsman. Each character features exclusive cards, passive abilities, and unique combat mechanics.

• The Young Witch brews potions and casts spells, controlling battle through Burn, Paralysis, Freeze, and Poison.

• The Priest combines prayer, healing, and sacred protection to turn endurance into an advantage.

• The Ninja uses combos, traps, poisoned weapons, and smoke techniques to create explosive openings.

• The Merchant manages profit, goods, debt, and dividends, transforming wealth into combat power.

• The Swordsman gathers Sword Intent and counters enemy attacks, mastering the balance between offense and defense.

Build Your Deck

60 cards per character,Discover new cards through battles and events, then combine archetypes that complement your character’s strengths. Upgrade essential cards, remove unnecessary techniques, and build powerful interactions around status effects and character mechanics.

There is no single correct way to build a deck. Even the same character can develop a completely different playstyle with each run.

A Different Ascent Every Time

Tower routes, enemies, rewards, shops, and events change between runs. Seek safety at a rest site, challenge dangerous elite enemies, or step into the unknown. Greater risks may lead to greater rewards.

Collect Relics

Discover relics with effects that reshape the rules of combat. They can strengthen a particular archetype, enable unusual strategies, or turn an ordinary card into the centerpiece of your deck.

Failure is not the end. The Compendium records the character cards and relics you encounter, leaving a permanent trace of every ascent.
