About This Demo

The old claim

You've inherited a gold claim lease from your late uncle, a creek he never got to work. The ground is rich, he just ran out of seasons. Now it's yours, and his old friend Errol is here to help you get started.

Start in the river with a pan, wash your first dirt, and invest every ounce to grow your operation. Get a crew on the payroll, a digger on the dirt and feed the wash plant. Then face the weigh-in and find out if it paid for itself. 

What's in the demo:

• Timberline Valley, the home claim where every mining empire starts, yours for three full seasons

• Start with prospectors panning the river, then put diggers on the dirt

• Unlock your first machines and work your way from hand tools to a mechanized line

• Hire and pay your crew, keep the diesel flowing, and face the monthly expenses and the gold weigh-in

• Breakdowns happen: stock spare parts and keep a mechanic on hand, or watch production stop

• The bank is there to help you scale, or save you in bad times when money is low

• A live gold market: stockpile, watch the chart, and sell at the peak

The full game adds:

• Up to 20 seasons to build your empire

• Bigger machines and equipment to dig the real paydirt

• The main cut opens up, where the paystreak hides

• The full map with multiple claims to get your hands on

• Permafrost digging: only the heaviest machines can break it, and the deepest, richest paystreaks wait down there
