Early Access Software

Get involved with this software as it develops.

Note: This Early Access software is not complete and may or may not change further. If you are not excited to use this software in its current state, then you should wait to see if it progresses further in development. Learn more

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“GraphMat is still actively being developed, and we want to involve users in that process while the tool is being expanded and refined.

Early Access allows us to receive feedback from people who are actively using GraphMat, helping us identify bugs, usability issues, missing features, and areas of the workflow that could be improved.

The tool is already functional, but some features and areas of the experience are still being developed. During Early Access, we plan to regularly improve the tool based on testing and community feedback while continuing to expand its feature set.”

Approximately how long will this software be in Early Access?

“We currently expect GraphMat to remain in Early Access for approximately 3-6 months. This timeframe may change depending on development progress and feedback received during Early Access.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to expand on the current feature set with additional nodes, tools, workflow improvements, and quality-of-life features.

We plan to improve and expand the node library, add more options for creating and editing materials, improve the overall workflow and user interface, and address bugs and stability issues discovered during Early Access.

The full version is also planned to include further improvements based on community feedback and testing during Early Access. The goal is for the core toolset to be more complete, stable, polished, and suitable for regular production use.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version currently provides the core GraphMat workflow for creating procedural materials through a node-based graph.

Users can currently create and edit material graphs, work with procedural nodes, preview their materials in real time, and create PBR material outputs. The current version also includes the core tools and workflow described in the “About This” section.

The tool is functional and usable, but some areas are still under development. Users may encounter bugs, incomplete features, missing quality-of-life improvements, and areas of the interface or workflow that have not yet received their final polish.”

Will this software be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to keep the Early Access price lower while GraphMat is still being developed. As the tool gains additional features and reaches a more complete and polished state, we may increase the price when it leaves Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback will be an important part of GraphMat’s development during Early Access.

We plan to listen to user feedback about existing features, bugs, workflow issues, usability, and suggestions for new features. Feedback from users will help us identify which improvements are most important and help guide the future development of the tool.

We also plan to encourage users to share materials and projects created with GraphMat, allowing us to better understand how the tool is being used in real-world workflows.

We will communicate with the community through our social media and community channels, where users can report issues, provide suggestions, share their work, and discuss the direction of GraphMat.”

What is GraphMat?

GraphMat is a material creation tool for designing PBR textures for games and 3D projects. It provides a simple and flexible workflow for creating anything from basic surfaces to detailed procedural materials, then exporting them for use in your preferred game engine or 3D software.

Why GraphMat?

Professional texturing software can be expensive, especially for indie developers, students and hobbyists. GraphMat aims to provide an affordable and capable alternative without sacrificing the tools needed for everyday material creation.

It is designed to be easy to learn, quick to work with and flexible enough to grow with your projects.

Who is it for?

GraphMat is built for game developers, 3D artists, students and hobbyists who want to create their own materials without committing to expensive software.

Whether you're creating textures for an indie game, learning material design, building reusable assets or simply experimenting with procedural workflows, GraphMat gives you the tools to turn your ideas into game-ready materials.
