About This Game

The mist has covered the village for as long as anyone can remember. It hides the sky, and no one alive has seen what lies beyond it.

Only the Spire rises through it. The legend says whoever reaches the top learns the way out. The legend also says something inside is waiting to make certain no one does.

RISE FROM ASHES combines survivors-like action with auto-chess strategy. Assemble a deck of Scrolls, activate powerful Synergies, and fight through hordes with skills that fire automatically. Between battles, upgrade and rearrange the deck to try new combinations or push a favorite build further.

BUILD AROUND POWERFUL SYNERGIES

Every Scroll contributes to Synergies that unlock as more matching Scrolls are equipped.

• Main Synergies define a playstyle. Fight at low Life for greater power, spread poison through enemy ranks, or unleash attacks with every dash.

• Sub Synergies refine the build with faster projectiles, repeated casts and additional summons.

Different activation thresholds and limited slots make each combination a trade-off. Commit to a few key Synergies or combine several for a broader set of effects. The deck can be freely adjusted before every battle.

MAKE EACH SCROLL PART OF THE BUILD

Spend Embers to buy Scrolls and reroll the shop, then develop the skills that bring the build together.

• Merge Scrolls to raise their Star Grade, strengthen their skills and unlock more Sigil slots.

• Bind Sigils to boost stats or add new effects. Combine Normal Sigils into Special Sigils for unique abilities and new ways to use familiar Scrolls.

The same Scroll can serve different roles depending on its Sigils and the Synergies around it.

PREPARE FOR THE NEXT CHALLENGE

Return to the Village to invest in permanent upgrades and explore new build options.

• Memories: Permanently strengthen the Challenger's abilities.

• Synergy Deck: Choose the Synergies to build around before entering the Spire.

• Testaments: Collect modifiers during Challenges and equip them in the Village to change how Main Synergies work.

EVERY RUN IS A VOLUME OF COMIC BOOK.

The world is drawn entirely in black and white, in ink and hatching, like the pages of a comic. We wanted you to feel like you opened a book since every run you take in the Spire will tell a different story.

ALSO IN THE SPIRE

• The Wheel of Fate. Spin a single wheel to discover your next stage. Its segments change as you climb, shifting the balance of battles, events, rest and treasure.

• Arcadia. Something that cannot be killed is eating into the Wheel and your potential. Avoid and stop it to overcome your fates.

• Battlefield Objects. Battlefield objects offer powerful one-time effects at a cost. The Ravenous Furnace can cover the ground in fire, burning through Embers to fuel it.

• Events. Events use token tosses to determine outcomes, with character stats and Ember spending improving the odds.
