About This Game

"Would you make me a new chess piece?" - You will probably hear this a lot in this game.

In ChessWorlds: Grandmaker, you design and implement chess pieces from scratch, how they should behave, balancing them, managing budgets, and making sure they fit the requests. After that, you will playtest them. 

At the start you will learn the basics, going trough concepts such as Effects or Modifiers, and then move on to Statuses, Entities, conditional blocks, and other exciting stuff.

Main loop

You will frequently meet customers, fulfill their demands and playtest with them, and get paid for your work. In your free time you might find some interesting puzzles only your custom pieces can solve.

System

ChessWorlds uses a block-based system which allows you to tailor interactions a chess piece has on the board. You define interaction locations, its effects, and its conditions. The piece is weighed in gold as you decorate it, sometimes even by simulating if it's too overpowered.

Story

In a town seemingly normal, with stereotypical people, with stereotypical names and stereotypical lives, one particular shopkeeper's life is anything but normal. Is there something behind the veil, hiding? What is it? A story about a project going horribly wrong.
