Save the Princess: Cards & Chaos is a humorous roguelike deckbuilder featuring turn-based combat, strategic card management, and plenty of chaos.

Choose your Hero and face an endless series of monsters, bosses, and increasingly dangerous encounters. Build your strategy, upgrade your character, manage your cards, and try to survive for as long as possible.

⚔️ Turn-Based Combat Without Mana

Forget energy and mana. Every playable card in your hand can be used during your turn.

At the beginning of each turn, draw 5 cards and decide how to use them. Attack enemies, heal your Hero, gain armor, activate powerful effects, or combine your cards to create your own strategy.

But don't get too comfortable. Every decision matters when your only goal is to stay alive.

🃏 Build Your Deck Your Way

Your deck is made up of different types of cards, each serving a specific purpose:

• Skills — Attack enemies and unleash your Hero's abilities.

• Items — Consumable cards providing healing, armor, and temporary effects.

• Equipment — Permanent upgrades that strengthen your Hero throughout the run.

• Passive Cards — Automatically activate when their conditions are met.

• Wounds & Scars — Not every card in your hand is helpful...

Manage your deck carefully, take advantage of synergies, and adapt your strategy as your run progresses.

🛡️ Master the Armor System

Survival isn't just about dealing damage.

Use Temporary Armor to absorb incoming attacks, then rely on Permanent Armor to reduce the damage that gets through.

Understanding how these two armor types work together can mean the difference between surviving another round and losing your entire run.

🩸 Every Wound Has a Cost

Taking damage can leave more than just a dent in your Health.

Open Wounds occupy space in your hand and increase the direct damage you take. Multiple wounds stack their effects, making an already dangerous run even harder.

Heal at the shop to remove them — or take the risk and let them become Scars. But be careful... a Scar can reopen.

💥 Critical Hits

Deal devastating critical hits — but only when your attack actually breaks through the enemy's defenses.

Some enemies can reduce critical damage, while powerful foes such as bosses may be completely immune to critical hits.

Know your enemy and choose your attacks wisely.
