About This Game

Collect yokai, capture pieces, and drain HP in this turn-based board battler.

Shogi-like movement, plus damage, combos, and unique skills. The board is 5×6. Matches stay short and decisive.

Build a roster of 50+ yokai around your general. Every capture chips the enemy’s HP; string captures together for combos. Defend or break through—reading and formation decide the game.

Formerly known as Yokai Shogi. Rules and progression match the browser version.

Features

• Free to play, no ads, no paid gacha or paid tickets

• Turn-based board battles where captures deal damage

• Solo win streaks in Night Parade, plus weekly rankings

• Online play: random match and 6-digit room codes

• Cross-play with the browser version (same match pool)

How battles work

• Win by draining the enemy’s HP to 0, capturing their general, or leaving them with no legal moves

• Captures deal damage based on the attacking piece’s power

• Combos rise when you capture several times on your turn (up to 2×)

• Captured yokai join your hand and can be dropped onto empty squares

• Pieces other than the general promote automatically in the enemy’s last two ranks

• Night of Hunger: if both sides go 8 moves without a capture, both lose HP every turn until someone captures

Modes

Night Parade (solo)

A changing AI gauntlet. Win streaks go on the weekly ranking. A good way to learn movement and skills.

Online

Random match is always open. 20:00–22:00 JST (the Hour of Meeting Demons) is the busiest window. Challenge friends with a 6-digit room code. Steam and the browser version share the same rules and the same match pool.

Summons and formation

Tickets come from login bonuses and battle rewards. Summon yokai, then build a formation around one general. Drop rates are shown in-game. The collection fills as you play.

Steam version notes

• Keyboard and mouse only; no gamepad support

• Solo (Night Parade) can be played offline

• Online play and account sync require an internet connection

• Progress can be linked with the browser version

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Some visual and audio assets in this game were created with generative AI during development.

• Yokai piece illustrations were generated with OpenAI GPT Images, then selected and cropped for in-game use. The same art may also appear in store screenshots.
• Title and battle music were generated with Google Gemini (Lyria), then selected for looping playback.

Rules, gameplay code, sound effects, and UI text were not live-generated. This game does not call an AI service while you play.
