A study, a circle of chalk, and eight Sigils that make each other. Arcanum Idle is a deep incremental about tearing down what you built: five nested prestige layers, a Constellation you arrange by hand, and time magic paid for in resets.

About This Game

The house came with the study, and the study came with the circle.

Your predecessor left no notes. Only a circle drawn in chalk that does not smudge, a candle that has not gone out, and eight Sigils that are very patiently waiting for someone to notice what they do.

They do not make power. They make the thing that makes power.

AN ENGINE THAT BUILDS ITSELF

Eight tiers of Sigil, each producing the tier below it. Buy an Ember and it makes mana. Buy a Rune Stone and it makes Embers. By the time you reach the Sanctum you are eight layers away from anything you can see, and the numbers have stopped being numbers.

FIVE LAYERS DEEP

Resonance collapses your circle to redraw it wider. Transcription burns the whole Study onto a page. Ascension drops the pages. Convergence takes you above the house entirely — and Chronomancy is bought with nothing but the number of times you have torn it all down.

A PLAYSTYLE, NOT A DIFFICULTY

Commit to a Doctrine and change it whenever you like. The Quickened builds Momentum by hand and burns brightest while you are there. The Patient grows stronger the longer it is left alone. Neither is the correct answer.

ARRANGE, DON'T JUST BUY

The Constellation is a board, not a shop. Stars are worth what their neighbours make them worth, and a Bridge is worth nothing at all until it sits between two things that matter.

TRIALS

Run the Study with a rule broken. No tempo. Two Sigils. No ladder at all, so that every tier has to do its own work. What you learn is permanent.

RELICS

Something comes back with you from every Ascension, and you may only keep one. A stub of chalk. A bell with nothing in it. An hourglass that was already broken. They do not make you stronger — they change what the study does.

Offline progress. Autobuyers for everything that deserves them. Numbers that keep working long past the point most games give up. No ads, no timers, no waiting for permission to play.
