You are a blob. A small one. Eat everything smaller than you, get bigger, eat the things that used to eat you, and mutate your way out of the petri dish one strain at a time. Somebody has clearly lost control of this experiment. Good.

About This Game

You started as a smear on a glass dish. You will not be ending there.

Blobsorb is a game about getting bigger. Everything smaller than you is food. Everything bigger than you is future food. Swim, absorb, grow, and outlast the clock. Then spend what you've eaten on a sprawling mutation tree that turns your humble blob into something the lab is going to regret culturing.

Each strain is a short, sharp run. Your senescence timer is always ticking down, and the only way to buy more time is to keep eating. Die, and you don't lose. Instead you learn from your failings, mutate, and come back a slightly worse problem than before.

• Eat your way up the food chain. Size is everything. Watch the whole ecosystem flip from threat to snack as you swell.

• Numbers go up.

• A mutation tree that changes how you play. Grow spikes and armour, sense which creatures are safe to eat and which will end you, clone yourself, lay pheromone trails, rupture your own body for an emergency payout, or infect a monster and turn it loose on its own kind.

• Bosses are your exit. Every environment is sealed by something enormous. Beat the Rat King in the sewers and you evolve into the next, harsher world where you're small again, everything's faster, and the tech tree re-opens for the next round of upgrades.

Break out of the Petri dish and into the sewer, home to panicking rats, swimming toads, undulating centipedes, shoals of tadpoles, warp pipes, and a very large, very angry rat with a crown. More worlds await you after that, and each one resets the scale: your speed and size upgrades are re-earned in every new environment, so the tree and your DNA needs constant work to keep ahead of the curve.

This is a game for people who like watching a number climb. Escalating pickup chimes, combo-flavoured feeding surges, per-strain personal bests, a bestiary to fill, and a tree that keeps opening new branches the deeper you go.
