About This Demo

Deepvein is a focused 2D mining game about going deeper, bringing back what matters, and turning each return to the surface into the next step forward.

DESCEND, EXTRACT, RETURN

Mine tile by tile through a finite underground world. Different resources wear down your pickaxe at different rates, while limited backpack space forces you to decide what is worth carrying. Your way home matters: plan a route and climb back to the surface on foot.

BUILD AN EXPEDITION LOOP

Smelt ore, repair and upgrade your pickaxe, carry a spare, trade on a changing market, and complete contracts before their expedition deadlines. Each successful return strengthens the next descent, but careless preparation can leave you short of tools or cargo space.

UNCOVER MORE THAN ORE

Discover buried finds, extract components, restore recipes in your recipe book, and craft specialized equipment. Map explored sectors and excavated tunnels, use scanner charges to survey deeper areas, and place field devices underground to support future expeditions.
