What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“I chose Early Access because I want to develop this game while staying as close to the players as possible. This phase will allow me to regularly gather your feedback, accurately identify what you enjoy, fix bugs efficiently and quickly, and refine the gameplay mechanics throughout the updates. My goal is to progressively evolve the game with the help of the community, while remaining completely transparent about its current state and the already playable content.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“It is very difficult to give a precise estimate. It took me three years to develop my first game. I am currently planning for a fairly broad Early Access period of around two years. This estimate may change depending on the progress of development, the scope of the content added, and feedback from the community.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The final version is primarily expected to offer a much longer and more complete story, with a proper ending.

I plan to gradually add new chapters, new scenes, new choices and narrative branches, as well as additional content related to the characters and the game world.

I also plan to gradually add support for several languages in order to make the game accessible to a wider audience.

Some existing mechanics and features may also be improved or expanded based on player feedback during Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“At the time of writing, the current version is fully playable and contains the beginning of SOPHIE II's story, with approximately one hour of content when exploring all currently available paths. When the game launches in Early Access, I plan to offer approximately 2 to 3 hours of content when exploring all available paths.

It already includes the game's main narrative mechanics, several choices and branching paths, as well as scenes, videos, music, and interactive elements.

However, the game is still at a relatively early stage of development. A large portion of the planned story and content is not yet available and will be added gradually throughout Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price will remain the same during and after Early Access. The current price reflects the complete experience planned for the final release. By purchasing the game today, you get access to the currently playable story, and you will, of course, receive all future updates and chapters leading up to the full release at no extra cost.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback will play an important role in the development process.

I will regularly follow player discussions, reviews, and suggestions in order to identify issues, improve certain mechanics, and better understand which elements of the story or interface may need adjustments.

Players will also be able to report bugs and share their feedback on new versions as they are released.

Although the main story and its overall direction will remain guided by my vision for the game, community feedback may influence many improvements and certain aspects of development.”

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

This work contains violent and macabre elements, as well as certain disturbing events inspired by cinema. The entire story takes place in a dystopian world where aggression and violence are widespread.

A warning is displayed before choices that may lead to a disturbing scene.

It is also entirely possible to play without explicit content. An option in the settings allows you to disable explicit content and display nudity only.

About This Game

Sophie II: Paradox is the sequel to Sophie: The Girl From The Zone. To save humanity, your mind was sent back into the past to rewrite history. The plan could have been simple, but everything went wrong. You did not wake up in your own body, but in Max's, a man with a very questionable reputation. Around you, no one knows what is really happening. Unable to reveal your true identity without risking causing a paradox, you will have to manipulate the events of the past, find crucial allies, and prevent the extinction of humanity.

Can the past truly be changed?
Will you survive your own choices?
And what if something else is hiding behind all of this?

  • A deeply cinematic narrative:
Created by a true cinema enthusiast, the game breaks away from the usual conventions to immerse you in a mature, dark, and psychological universe.

  • Choices with a butterfly effect:
Your decisions have real short-term and long-term consequences on the story. A choice that seems insignificant at the beginning of the game can change a great deal...

⚠️ Content Warning
This story explores the darkest aspects of human nature. The game contains extreme violence, gore, and explicit sexual content. (Note: a filter allows you to disable pornographic content and enjoy the story in a "Soft" mode, limited to nudity.)

💡 Do I need to have played the first game?
It is strongly recommended that you play Sophie: The Girl From The Zone in order to catch all the nuances, small plot details, and fully understand the universe. However... I strongly believe it could also be fascinating to approach the story the other way around and start directly with SOPHIE II!

All erotic scenes can be avoided.
