You run a small real-estate office. A landlord calls you on an ordinary working day: the tenant in Apartment 3 has stopped answering his phone and stopped paying his rent. Someone needs to go and see.

What he mentions more quietly is that he has already sent one of his men to do exactly that.

That man went into Apartment 3. He did not come back out.

You are the second one he sent.

What you actually do

Apartment 3 is a single-player first-person horror game that takes place almost entirely inside one apartment and the building around it. It is a game about searching a place very carefully while something else is in there with you.

• Search every room. Drawers, wardrobes, cupboards, the space under the beds. Anything you can interact with lights up when you look at it, and anything you take is kept in your inventory for the room that needs it.
  
• Read what the tenant left behind. Papers are picked up and held in your hands, and turned over, because half of what they say is written on the back. Complaints nobody answered. A letter addressed to whoever reads it next. A child's drawing of a bedroom, with a tall figure standing between the beds. Nobody narrates this story to you. Everything you understand, you found yourself.
  
• Solve the apartment. It does not open all at once. Four or five puzzles stand between you and the rest of it: a painting hanging where it should not be, a wardrobe heavy enough to push aside because of what is behind it, and ways through that only appear once you have understood the room you are standing in.
  
• Do not get caught. Something still lives here. It hunts by sight and by sound, so stepping into its view and making noise are two separate mistakes with the same ending. You cannot kill it, and nothing you are carrying will hurt it. Once it starts coming toward you, all you have is distance and somewhere to be out of sight.

Your goal

Get inside. Find out what happened to the tenant. Get back out.

The landlord is waiting for your phone call, the same way he waited for the last one. And the further into the apartment you go, the harder that call gets to make. Every drawer you open makes "I found nothing" a harder sentence to say.

An Arabic horror game, not a translated one

Apartment 3 was written and built in Arabic from the first line. Every spoken line is performed in Arabic, the notes are handwritten in Arabic, and the subtitles are Arabic. It is not a foreign game with Arabic pasted on top of it.

Please read this before buying: the menus and interface are available in English, but the story is not translated. The voice acting, the notes and the subtitles are Arabic only. If you do not read Arabic you will be able to play it, but you will not follow the story.
