Hypnagogia is a game all about existing in spaces.

In a world of fast-paced, chaotic movement, Hypnagogia kindly asks you to slow down, relax, and absorb your environment. Take time to acknowledge the surroundings, characters, and ambience as you wander through a land of surreal dreams... and corners even darker.

Look. Breathe. Walk. Dream.

• Explore, platform, and quest through a spectrum of surreal, cascading vignettes that span from cheerful and colorful, to dark and sinister, with many settings in between.

• Hang out with cats in a relaxing garden temple, mingle with deep-sea creatures in an underwater quarry, find meaning among a city full of strange people, and other surreal scenarios.

• Catalog hundreds of various weird objects, people, and creatures throughout each world. All of which are viewable from the in-game gallery with different unique descriptions.

• Influenced by the dreamlike vibes of games such as LSD: Dream Emulator, Klonoa, Silent Hill, Final Fantasy 7, and Ape Escape.

• Every world is inspired directly by a real recorded dream with each origin revealed in-game.

• Expanded from the original 2020 game jam edition; larger areas, more dialogue, enhanced effects, reworked character interactions, configurable settings, saving and loading, and more.

In the land of Hypnagogia, every dream is considered a pure and sacred world- each kept intact by an ethereal gem with mystifying powers. Overseeing these realms is Gogi, a magical guardian sworn to protect and transition any who find themselves lost within back to the waking world.

Though despite his best efforts, you're caught deep within a spiraling web of your own dreams where with every deepening layer things around you slowly turn into... something else. Something nightmarish.

Only by reaching down into the furthest possible depths of your own mind can you find an escape.
