The only tether keeping Yuki tied to reality is an anxious, protective childhood friend, Mei.

Until the door slides open and a transfer student walks into the classroom.

Her name is J. An unreactive, monotone girl with an eye patch and raw wounds that weep dark blood straight onto her desk. No one else seems to notice.

When Yuki reaches out in the quiet of the corridor, the impossible happens: the moment their skin touches, the blood recoils. The wound seals. But the searing, agonizing rot does not vanish, it seeps beneath Yuki's own flesh instead.
