About This Game

ABOUT THIS GAME

Buenos Aires, 1925. The music still plays. The dead still dance.

A mysterious zombie outbreak has consumed the city, turning historic neighborhoods, cafés, theaters, stations, and the streets of the arrabal into a nightmarish battlefield.

In Tango Mortal, you fight your way through the apocalypse one card, one step, and one deadly tango at a time.

Build your deck around the Spanish playing-card suits, combine attacks, defenses, status effects, rhythm, blood, poison, and devastating finishers, and evolve your fighting style as the night grows increasingly dangerous.

DANCE THROUGH A ZOMBIE-INFESTED BUENOS AIRES

Travel across a procedural campaign spanning four acts and 120 depths, with branching routes filled with battles, elite encounters, shops, rest stops, strange events, bosses, and increasingly dangerous districts.

Your journey begins as El Malevo, but survival will transform you.

Progress through four stages of the same deadly legend:

  • El Malevo

  • La Milonguera

  • El Bandoneonista

  • La Femme Fatale

Each evolution changes your identity and combat possibilities while preserving the deck, equipment, relics, resources, and progress you have built throughout the run.

BUILD A DECK WITH RHYTHM

Every card is part of the dance.

Create combinations using cards inspired by the four suits of the Spanish deck:

  • Espada

  • Basto

  • Oro

  • Copa

Attack, defend, draw, heal, poison, bleed, burn, expose, mark enemies, build rhythm, increase your combo, and unleash finishers when the moment is right.

With hundreds of cards and a wide variety of effects, conditions, synergies, and scaling mechanics, every run offers new ways to build your strategy.

FACE THE HORRORS OF THE ARRABAL

Fight infected citizens, grotesque creatures, elite enemies, legendary threats, and powerful bosses inspired by the dark streets of an alternate 1925 Buenos Aires.

Enemies have their own attack patterns, defensive behaviors, status effects, regeneration, and special mechanics.

At the end of the main journey, survive a brutal five-boss gauntlet before confronting the final superboss.

And victory does not have to mean the end.

Survive long enough and enter Buenos Aires Infinita, an endless mode where enemies continue to grow stronger while you keep the build you fought to create.

RECRUIT THE DEAD

Not every zombie has to remain your enemy.

Through La Comparsa Podrida, certain defeated infected can eventually join your journey as companions.

Recruit unusual allies with different combat roles, increase their loyalty, strengthen them, and let them fight beside you as the night becomes more dangerous.

EQUIPMENT, RELICS AND SYNERGIES

Your deck is only part of your build.

Collect relics, equipment, components, recipes, and resources that can reshape your strategy. Plan equipment combinations, manage your inventory, discover synergies, and adapt your build as the campaign develops.

MEGA CAMPEONATO DEL DÍA

Take on a deterministic daily challenge featuring five consecutive rounds against powerful enemies.

Between rounds, choose a Favor del Público to strengthen your chances of surviving the championship.

Because the challenge is tied to the date, every day brings a new configuration to overcome.

PLAY YOUR WAY

Prefer to make every decision yourself? Take complete control.

Want to watch your build fight? Activate Autojuego, a tactical autoplay system capable of evaluating cards, targets, combat situations, purchases, and compatible decisions throughout the run.

Build the strategy, then decide how much of the execution you want to control.
