Echelon is a game about the distance between places. Follow old roads, climb ridgelines, and discover what lies beyond the next valley. Decades after nuclear war transformed California, new communities have risen among the ruins, each with its own history, loyalties, and vision of the future.

Every Journey Is an Expedition

Leaving town means leaving safety behind. The road ahead may cross irradiated ruins, contaminated rivers, hostile wildlife, and stretches of wilderness where shelter is days away.

Prepare for the country you are crossing. Carry enough food and water. Watch your radiation exposure. Know when to keep moving and when to make camp.

Camp, Reflect, Continue

The wasteland is too vast to cross in a day. Find a place to make camp, cook what you have carried with you, and sleep beneath the open sky.

Your skills improve as you use them, but growth comes with rest. When you sleep, reflect on what you have survived, level up, and choose new perks that shape the person you are becoming.

Speak with settlers, soldiers, traders, wanderers, and survivors. Learn what they need, what they believe, and what they remember about the world around them. Choose what to say, whom to trust, and which causes deserve your help.

Take on quests that begin with personal problems and draw you into the larger struggles shaping the wasteland.
