About This Game

They are small. They are ceramic. They are thousands.

Somewhere on a forgotten front, a weird-science experiment went very wrong. Now every garden gnome in the country wakes up at night, and they all march in the same direction: yours. Projekt Gartenzwerg is a co-op horde defense FPS for 1 to 4 players. Dig in, load your rifle and survive until dawn.

Your gunfire is your light

The horde attacks in the dark. Campfires and searchlights carve out small islands of safety, but beyond them the night is full of little painted faces. Pull the trigger and your muzzle flash lights up the field for a heartbeat. That heartbeat is how you find out what is really coming for you. It is always worse than you hoped.

An honest WW2 arsenal and some very bad ideas

From the MP40 to the Panzerschreck, every weapon kicks, flashes and throws hot brass. When bullets stop being enough, the lab has prototypes for you: arc rifles that chain lightning through the tide, incendiary rounds, and a flamethrower for when the perimeter gets personal. Whatever you bring, bring enough ammo.

The perimeter will not hold itself

Every gnome you shatter drops scrap, and scrap keeps you alive. Slam down barricades in the middle of a wave, deploy gun nests and mortars, aim a searchlight down the worst approach. The horde tears breaches into your walls, and it falls on you to plug the gap while your friends cover you. Some nights you fix the wall. Some nights you become the wall.

More than one way to spend a night

Fortify a farmhouse, funnel the tide into a mountain pass, or fight from flooded trenches under a full moon. And when holding still is not enough, escort an armed rail car through a dead forest: keep the engine running, mount the MG42 machine gun, and shoot the trees down before the horde swarms the tracks. Each mission asks a different question. The answer is always firepower.

Better with friends, deadly without them

Up to four players stand together. When one of you goes down, someone has to cross the field under fire and spend six long seconds pulling him back up, hands busy, head down, gnomes closing in. Win a sector and a harder version of it opens, from Recruit all the way to Nightmare. Earn Wunderpoints and unlock new gear for the next stand.
