Traveller - The Aslan Hierate

The Aslan Hierate is the youngest and second-largest interstellar community in Charted Space, yet resembles no other empire in structure or government. There is no central government, no regional districts, no common laws, and no standing military. Instead, the Hierate is an amorphous, decentralised collection of clans, each with its own leader, organised around vaguely familial lines, and locked in competition with all of the others.


Deep within the interior of the Hierate is a fierce society both hauntingly familiar and persistently alien, filled with rich tradition, profound culture, and byzantine politics. A merely incautious Traveller might inadvertently insult or offend an Aslan, but the truly reckless can easily find themselves in a duel to death.


In the Hlakhoi sector the Aslan tamed a wilderness, battled human colonists and explored mysterious ruins. There they fought some of the bloodiest battles in the history of the Hierate. For Travellers,
