What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Price War is built around several interconnected systems: construction, shelf layout, staff management, and expansion across the city. We want to fine-tune the balance of these mechanics and prioritize upcoming features based on feedback from a player community, rather than developing in isolation until final release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Early Access to last around one year, with a full release targeted for late 2027.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to add these features during Early Access:

- Multiple plots and locations available for purchase
- The ability to negotiate or adjust employee salaries
- More employee types and roles within the store
- Environmental and other factors influencing customer behavior
- More furniture and products available
- Random events such as theft attempts or protests
- A reputation system
- Competing stores

This list may evolve based on community feedback throughout Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Right now, the game focuses solely on managing a store.
Only one plot of land is available: you can buy it, sell it, build your store on it, and place a handful of furniture and products (available content is still limited at this stage).
Four employee types are present and carry out their jobs (stock handler, merchandiser, cashier, cleaner). Their skills aren't fully factored into their work yet.
Customers come in and buy the products on their list, with no influence from the environment for now.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to keep the price the same throughout Early Access, then raise it once the game reaches full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We'll be closely following community feedback through our Discord server and the Steam Community Hub, where we'll share development progress, gather suggestions and balance feedback, and talk directly with players to help shape upcoming updates.”

About This Game

Become the king of retail

Build and grow your own retail empire in a world rendered entirely in low-poly. Buy vacant lots or already-established stores, build exactly what you want, and turn every empty space into a profit machine. Leave nothing to chance: how you lay out your shelves and how you manage your staff will decide your success.

Build your store, your way

Pick a good spot in the city and build your store directly, exactly the way you want it. Expand an existing lot or bulldoze it to start fresh.

Manage your staff

Hire, train, and pay your employees according to fixed shifts and the applicable minimum wage. Strike the right balance between cost and service quality to build an effective team.

Attract customers

Every customer has a wish list, it's up to you to arrange your shelves and products to maximize impulse buys. A good layout can make all the difference.

Conquer the city

Set up your stores across an entire city, and grow your empire district by district.
