About This Game

Akos is a co-op open-world dark fantasy RPG built around a single relationship. You raise a dragon, and it does not turn out the same for everyone: a personality system reads how you actually treat it and shapes the creature you end up with. Once it is grown, you fly it. Play alone, or alongside a friend raising a dragon of their own.

THE DRAGON IS THE GAME

A creature you are responsible for, that grows over the course of the game, and that ends up different depending on what you did.

The personality system reads how you actually live: what you feed it, how you fight beside it, what you choose when it is watching. Two players can play the same number of hours and end up with genuinely different creatures.

A WORLD WITH NO ROOM FOR YOU

Both of the gods who made this world are dead, and neither of the races they left behind has forgiven the other for it. The empire that inherited the mortal plane now burns its own villages over a strip of forest and calls it faith.

You begin with nothing. No name, no family, no house to answer to. Nobody is coming.

Dragons cannot be replaced. The god who shaped them died before it occurred to him they might need to reproduce, so every one still breathing is one of the last there will ever be.

AN OPEN WORLD THAT BITES BACK

Explore, hunt, and survive in a kingdom tearing itself apart, with progression for you and for the dragon. The empire's provinces are at each other's throats and the war does not care that you are in it. Encounters are built around fighting as a pair, so the creature beside you has to be part of how you win.

BETTER WITH A FRIEND

Full co-op throughout. Your friend's dragon is their own, with a temperament their choices caused rather than yours. Two riders, two creatures that should not exist, and eventually a kingdom that wants them both dead.

KEY FEATURES

• A dragon that becomes its own creature. A personality system driven by how you treat it, not by a loyalty meter you fill.

• Wingbeat-driven flight. Flap, glide, dive, and flare, with mounted flight and aerial combat.

• Full co-op. Every system replicates. Your friend raises their own dragon with its own temperament.

• Growth you can see. The dragon changes in size and capability over the course of the game, and how you play changes with it.

• Survive and explore. Hunt, gather, and feed in an open world that does not hand you anything.

• RPG progression for both of you. You get stronger. You never get stronger than the dragon.

• A world with real history. Warring provinces, a cursed empire, and a race of dragons that cannot replace its dead.
