About This Game

An old fab, a fresh start

Fab.exe is a single-player factory-management game about turning an aging cleanroom into a dependable semiconductor fab. Place the right tools, follow each lot through the line, and make practical decisions when capacity, quality, time, and cash all compete for attention. No semiconductor background is required: the campaign introduces the factory one system at a time, then lets you put everything together.

Every lot tells you what the factory needs

FOUPs travel along AMHS routes and dock at visible loadports. As recipes revisit lithography, etch, deposition, metrology, and packaging, queues begin to form. Trace a lot, read the flow, identify the real bottleneck, and decide whether the answer is another tool, a dispatch change, preventive maintenance, or simply less work in progress.

Protect yield, delivery, and cash

A busy line is not always a healthy line. Investigate defect patterns, compare process data, adjust sampling, and manage equipment wear before a small excursion becomes an expensive problem. Contracts reward reliable output but punish late or degraded deliveries, so urgent lots, inventory, Cpk, maintenance, and long-term stability must share the same budget.

Grow with the people around the fab

Supervisors, customers, rival fabs, market changes, and small cleanroom incidents keep the factory from feeling like a static spreadsheet. Some situations are funny, some are costly, and many ask you to choose between a quick fix and a stronger long-term operation.

From N28 toward N2 and A10

Progress through 32 handcrafted story missions, qualify new process generations, expand into additional bays, and invest in research that changes how the fab operates. The early missions offer clear goals and room to learn; later chapters combine layout, capacity, dispatch, quality, finance, and competition into larger decisions. Replay missions to improve your result and work toward 49 Steam achievements.

What you will manage
