About This Game

Congrats on being appointed the first (and only) data analyst at Copsi Beverage Co., a mid-sized regional soft drink company still getting used to the idea of computers. Can you blame anyone? It's the 1990s after all. Half the office don't trust you, and the other half don't know you exist. Every day requires you to dig through the company's tables to find answers to queries. You better be good at your job - Hank, your manager, has a reputation of making incompetent employees quit before lunch time. That is if the company's slow, messy transition to digital record-keeping don't get to you first.

Learn SQL by actually using it

Don't know a line of SQL? Don't matter. Just like a noob who lied on his resume with big bills to pay, you will pick up the job in no time. Get right into it with real tasks that gradually introduce SELECT, WHERE, JOIN, GROUP BY, aggregate functions, and subqueries exactly as your manager asks of you. Early tasks will make sure that you get the hang of it, comparing tables and data yourself. As the days pass by, the manager would require more from you, and you would have mastered the tools by then. We don't want to get fired now, do we?

Features

A 1990s office setting, complete with terminal-green screens, interoffice memos, and a company that would make you feel like you got into a time machine.

A wide cast of characters and departments, each with their own tables, records, and secrets.
