The dungeon is dying. It would rather die than say thank you. Fight through its halls with wisps living in your weapons and fighting at your side. Rescue every last spirit, grow them, evolve them, regrow its garden. It remembers everything. Collect all the wisps.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We want to build the rest of this game with players watching. The wisp roster, the biomes and the balance all need real people playing them before they settle, and Early Access lets that happen while the world is still growing. What people do in the game, and what they tell us on Discord and in the Steam discussions, will decide what we build next.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“About 8 to 12 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Early Access launches with three biomes, around 45 to 50 rooms, plus the wisp species that live in them and the first act of the story. The full version adds two more biomes and corrupted remixes of familiar places, which takes the world to roughly 80 to 90 rooms, along with the rest of the wisp roster and the ending.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core of the game is playable now: runs from room to room through hand-painted biomes, wisp collecting, wisps living in your weapons and fighting beside you, boss fights, mini-games, and a home island and garden that grow as you rescue more wisps. We are still adding content to reach the Early Access launch bar, and balance and polish passes are ongoing. We will update this section with specifics as launch gets closer.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. We plan to raise the price when the game leaves Early Access, once the remaining biomes, the rest of the wisp roster and the ending are in. We will announce any increase well ahead of time.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Development is steered by what players do in the game, by our Discord and by the Steam discussions here. Updates come as biome-sized drops every 6 to 8 weeks or so, each with full patch notes. Between drops, what we work on next, whether that is the wisp roster, balance or quality of life, comes straight from player feedback.”

About This Game

You are the janitor of a very old, very proud, very talkative dungeon. Something has gone wrong in its depths, and the little glowing wisps that live down there need rescuing.

Fight through its halls. Save its spirits. Regrow its garden. Collect all the wisps.

COLLECT ALL THE WISPS

The dungeon is full of little spirits worth saving. Each biome has its own species, wisp rooms turn up in different places every run, and the deeper you go the nastier the twists get. Filling out the collection is the whole point of the game, and it is also how you get stronger.

YOUR ITEMS ARE ALIVE

Any wisp you rescue can live in your kit. Put one in your sword, your dash, your hammer or your spit and that move takes on the wisp's element. Land a big enough hit and the wisp itself bursts out as the attack. Your favourite doesn't have to stay in your pocket either. It flies along beside you, fights at your side and delivers your ultimate when you need it.

GROW THEM. EVOLVE THEM.

Rescued wisps come home to the garden. Plant them and look after them and they grow into stronger versions of themselves, and with enough care they evolve into something new. If a wisp falls in battle it turns to essence. Plant that too and the garden will grow it back.

THE DUNGEON NEVER SHUTS UP

The building itself is your constant companion. There are giant eyes in the walls and a running commentary on your route, your build and exactly how many times it has had to save you. When you go down it pulls you out, puts you back at the door and makes a note of it.

BIG GIANT BOSSES

At the bottom of every biome something enormous is waiting. You take it on with the wisps you have raised, and that is where you find out whether your build is any good.

GET YOUR GEAR BACK

If you fall in the deep, the gear you were carrying doesn't vanish. Something down there picks it up and starts using it. Track your own loadout back through the dungeon and take it off whoever has it.

POCKET WORLDS TO EXPLORE

Between the fights there are small overworlds to wander through, each with its own little story. You can hunt for treasure, play mini-games and go fishing.

BRING IT ALL HOME

Rescued wisps move into the wings of your home island. The beds fill up and the residents get busy, and the garden slowly comes back to life. The longer you play, the more alive the old place gets.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Some of this game's content was created with the assistance of generative AI tools, always under human direction and review. Portions of the painted environment artwork and the store/marketing artwork began as AI-generated images that were then curated, edited, and integrated by hand. The music was generated with a licensed AI music tool, then curated and edited. Nothing is generated by AI while you play — everything you see and hear ships as fixed, human-reviewed content.
