Tiles fall. You swipe to spell words. The letters fly from the grid to the page, and a real literary masterwork takes shape beneath your fingers, written through you. Muse Ingenium is a cozy roguelite that hides a deckbuilder's worth of strategic depth inside a swipe-to-spell word game.

Every run is themed around one of ten authors, from Edgar Allan Poe to Alexandre Dumas, and their complete, unabridged, public domain text. No excerpts, no invented lore: The Raven, The Art of War, Romeo and Juliet, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Frankenstein, The Odyssey, Pride and Prejudice, Little Women, and The Count of Monte Cristo, all fully playable, all verified complete against the original published works. Twelve volumes take you through the same ten authors again and again, each pass harder than the last, taking you further and further into their masterpieces, so the game you finish is not the game you started.

• Your goal is surpass the WPM (words per minute) target for each writing session before time runs out.

• Cognitions: choose from dozens of equippable abilities slotted into your mind's loadout to boost your WPM. Earn new abilities one at a time from the author whose book you're transcribing

• Familiars: passive word-finders that reveal a letter, a word, a line, or a whole paragraph at a time depending on their tier.

• Heirlooms: powerful author-themed bonuses, one earned at random every time you complete a full volume

• Utilize synergistic systems that reward genuine build discovery rarely seen in word games

You conduct the author's words. Between rounds, the Author's Studio lets you spend your Sparks on permanent upgrades and to build a loadout for writing. Progress saves at page granularity, so you can drop in for a quick five-minute writing session and not lose progress when you step away.

Every classic you unlock stays unlocked, permanently. Visit the Reading Room where a real, properly-formatted library of the actual books you're transcribing are readable at your own pace. Unlock Marathon mode. the ultimate challenge for the strongest minds, where you put together your most powerful loadouts and attempt to transcribe the entirety of an author's work in one run.
